IVA Advisory :

1. Tours to Bhutan can be arranged through Travel Agents, or ground operators in Bhutan who are responsible for making all local arrangements.

2. All applications for tourist visa are to be submitted by tour operators in the prescribed visa application form to TAB well in advance to allow required time of one week.

3. As far as possible, two copies of original passport photographs must be furnished with visa applications. However, if this is not possible, the photographs must be presented by visitors on arrival to the visa officer at the entry point.

4. All applications for tourist visas and extensions will compulsorily be channelised through the TAB and no tour operator can entertain any visitor whose visa has been processed through other channels.

5. All visitors are required to complete the Custom Declaration Form and hand over to the Customs authorities upon arrival. All visitors should ensure to retain the Immigration Slip (handed over to them by the Immigration Authorities), as the same is required to return to the authorities at the time of departure.

6. Yellow fever: a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travellers coming from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. Yellow fever vaccine recommendation: no Malaria: Malaria risk exists throughout the year in the southern belt of the country comprising five districts: Chhukha, Samchi, Samdrup Jonkhar, Geyleg-phug and Shemgang. P. falciparum resistant to chloroquine and sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine reported. Recommended prevention in risk areas: Type IV: (1) High risk of P. falciparum malaria, combined with reported antimalarial drug resistance; or (2) Moderate/low risk of P. falciparum malaria, combined with reported high levels of drug resistanceb. Mosquito bite prevention plus atovaquone–proguanil, doxycycline or mefloquine chemoprophylaxis (select according to reported resistance pattern).

7. Airport tax: No Tax.
