Things that May Delay Processing of Your Application.
1. Incomplete or unsigned application forms.
2. Missing documents
3. Incorrect or missing fees
4. Insufficient postage
5. Incorrect, incomplete address or failure to notify the visa office of a change of address
6. Unclear photocopies of documents
7. Documents not accompanied by a certified English or French translation
8. You are not a permanent resident in the country in which you currently reside
9. A medical condition that may require additional tests or consultations
10. A criminal problem
11. Family situations such as impending divorce or custody or maintenance issues
12. Consultation is required with other offices in Canada and abroad
13. Verification of information you give
14. Inquiring about the status of your application before the standard processing time has passed.
