Personal presence of the Applicant is required. Application by post will not be accepted. For outstation Applicants (other than those residing in Delhi and surrounding areas), personal presence may be waived off, subject to producing an Authority Letter in the form of Power of Attorney on a INR 50 stamp paper duly notarized by a Notary from the place of residence. (A sample format is available on the web site).
  • The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
  • One Visa Application Form to be filled online ( http://sac.minrel.gov.cl/ciudadanos ) in all respects and duly signed by the Applicant. The Applicants should first register themselves and complete the details online. The photographs and all the other required documents needs to be scanned and uploaded on the same online form.
  • Three recent passport sized color photographs (35 x 45 mm), against a white background to be pasted and not stapled on the form.
  • A Covering letter from the Applicant stating reason for travel.
  • A leave letter from the concerned Institution / Company in India.
  • A confirmed onward/ return air ticket (original or print-out).
  • Hotel Confirmation.
  • Onward country visa.
  • Income Tax returns for last three years.
  • Bank statement for the last six months.
  • Salary slips for the last three months.
  • Processing time after the visa fee submission is 5 to 6 working days.
  • Visa can be issued for maximum stay of 90 days.
Visa Fee is payable only in Indian Rupees based on the Consular Exchange Rate fixed for every month by the Consular Section. This fee (in cash) is to be remitted only after the case is approved by the Visa Officer in the Official Bank of the Embassy (ICICI Bank Jor Bagh, New Delhi-110 003).

Business

  • A letter of recommendation from the current Employer. Membership Certificate/Recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (e.g. FICCI, CII, FIEO, I.T.P.O, etc.) / Export Promotion Councils wherever applicable.

Seamen

  • Indian seamen traveling on duty must hold Letter of Guarantee from the Shipping Company with Seamen Book.
  • A letter in the form of a fax/telex from the Shipping Agent in Chile, stating particulars of the seamen, date and port of joining the ship is required.
  • A confirmed onward/ return air ticket (original or print-out).

Work Permit

  • A photocopy of first and last page of the Applicants passport.
  • One Visa Application Form to be filled online ( http://sac.minrel.gov.cl/ciudadanos ) in all respects and duly signed by the Applicant. The Applicants should first register themselves and complete the details online. The photographs and all the other required documents needs to be scanned and uploaded on the same online form.
  • Four recent passport sized colored photographs (35 x 45 mm), against a white background to be separately attached.
  • A Covering letter from the Applicant stating reason for travel.
  • A confirmed onward/ return air ticket (original or print-out).
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel confirmation.
  • Onward country visa.
  • Bank statement for the last six months.
  • Income Tax returns for last three years.
  • An original Work Permit Contract (contrato de trabajo) duly signed by Employer in Chile and notorized (photo copy/ fax copy not acceptable).
  • Police Clearance certificate (PCC) issued by the passport office.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with the copies of experience certificate/educational, degree/diploma in support of educational qualification.
  • Health certificate issued by a govt. recognized doctor/hospital, stating that the applicant is mentally and physically fit and does not have any contagious disease and is fit to travel to Chile. This certificate should be produced with the supporting tests such as HIV, Hepatitis, ECG and other general and important tests. All these health documents need to be attested by the Consular Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, Patiala House, New Delhi.
  • Processing time after the visa fee submission is 5 to 6 working days.
