Visa Note and Fees
Please note Indian Citizens, holders of a valid Schengen visa, who are visiting the Republic of Croatia in an organized and group manner, or going on a Cruise starting from any Schengen country do not require a visa, if they have a valid travel health insurance and come out from one of the countries of the Schengen area. This arrangement is valid from April 1st 2012 to October 31st, 2012. All individual travelers requires Croatia visa. If you have a valid Schengen visa with multiple entries with a validity of 3 days more than the requested Croatian visa, the processing will take 3-4 working days (i.e. validity of schengen = stay in Croatia + 3 days); otherwise it takes about 10 working days.Note (16th April, 2009): Effective immediately personal presence of the Applicant is required at the time of submitting the visa documents. Travel agent can collect the passport later on Applicants behalf.
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least three months from the date of expiry of the visa. The passport must be issued within last 10 years and should have at least 2 blank pages.
- Copy of all relevant pages (biodata pages) of passport with copies of all previous (valid and expired) visas.
- One visa form filled out in detail in block letters and duly signed by the applicant. Agents are not authorized to fill the application form on behalf of Applicant.
- One recent coloured photo (35 x 45 mm, white background, without borders, 90% of the photo should cover face i.e. up to shoulders only, photo to be pasted on form, not to be stapled).
- A detailed covering letter by the applicant explaining purpose of the intended visit to the Republic of Croatia.
- Proof of current status in native country:
- Service – Letter issued by the employer on company’s official letterhead establishing position of the employee in the company, years in service and grant of leave.
- Business/self employed – Visa request letter on official letter head with company registration papers.
- Student - Letter from school / university for grant of leave and copy of the valid ID.
- Confirmed return / onward ticket.
- For an Applicant holding business or private invitation from Croatia, proof of pre-paid hotel booking or a similar document is needed. Confirmation of the reservation should be sent by the hotel / apartment to the Embassy directly through fax / email.
- Proof of ensured accommodation - prepaid reservation for hotel / apartments, etc.
- Confirmation of the reservation should be sent by the hotel / apartment to the Embassy directly through fax / email.
- For CRUISE passengers - cruise confirmation and cruise itinerary.
- Day to day itinerary with ensured accommodation for the entire stay.
- Proof of sufficient funds:
- For an applicant holding business or private guarantee letter from Croatia, proof of pre paid hotel booking or a similar document, he /she is obliged to present endorsement on passport @ Euro 50 (cash/traveller cheque) per day of the estimated stay in the Republic of Croatia. In absence of an invitation / pre paid accommodation the amount should be Euro 100 per day.
- Bank statements for the last three months (saving and current a/c, as applicable).
- Income Tax Returns for the past three years (personal and company, as applicable).
- Copy of International Credit Card and statement of three months.
- Travel health insurance:
- For single / double entry visa - covering the entire period of stay in Croatia.
- For multiple entry visa - covering the period of first stay in Croatia along with a filled out statement for subsequent visits.
- The lowest sum insured must be equivalent of Euro 30,000.
- In case of a minor (less than 18 years) traveling to Croatia unaccompanied by either parent, an NOC signed by both parents should be submitted with the application. A sample format of the NOC shall be provided by the Embassy on request.
- Proof of payment of visa fee.
- Visa is valid for 3 months, with a stay at the discretion of the Embassy. It cannot be extended in Croatia.
- Processing time is 8 to 10 working days and for urgent procedure it is 3 to 5 working days.

- The Letter of Guarantee shall be signed by the person authorized to represent the Guarantor and certified by an official stamp.
- Confirmed return / onward ticket.

- A Covering letter from the Indian Recruiting Company stating the Applicant's name and rank, vessels name and arrival date at the port in Croatia, date of joining vessel and the name and address of the handling agent in Croatia.
- A message/ fax from the Shipping Company in Croatia, sent directly to the Embassy stating particulars of the Seamen, date and port of joining the ship is required.
- Confirmed return / onward ticket.
- Valid visa for the destination country.
- For an Applicant holding business or private invitation from Croatia, proof of pre-paid hotel booking or a similar document is needed. Confirmation of the reservation should be sent by the hotel / apartment to the Embassy directly through fax / email.
- In the absence of an invitation/ proof of ensured accommodation, the Applicant is obliged to present endorsements on passport @ Euro 50 (cash/ traveler cheques) per day of the estimated duration of stay in the Republic of Croatia.
